How long have you worked at MOBOCES?
28 Years

What do you like most about your job?
I love the staff I work with daily and all the different opportunities that happen and I can be a part of.  Director of Facilities, Todd VanDresar, sings the praises of Char. “She has put in extra time and effort on top her other duties, she is really an asset to me and the MOBOCES,” he said.

What have been some of the challenges you have experienced since the Pandemic?
Making sure to keep up on all of the changes that happen daily and sometimes hourly. (CDC regulations and enhanced cleaning practices, etc.) She developed a daily cleaning log and trained staff on the electrostatic 360 machines. There are currently 27 custodial staff members.

“With all of her regular duties Char has taken on COVID-19 testing: setups, disposals, test acquiring and accounting, learning to test and assisting,” said Niki Maiura, Secretary to the Deputy Superintendent for Finance & Operations.

Fun fact about you?
I like to collect M&M stuff.  (She said the pink M&M memorabilia is hard to find, but she has one. She would love to visit Las Vegas to visit the M&M store)
