Electrical Systems
Electrical Systems prepares students for careers in electrical technology, industrial automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory experiences in the mechatronics lab at MVCC-Rome.
Students develop an understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, motors, controls, mechanical systems, and automated equipment. Through practical projects and troubleshooting activities, students learn how electrical and mechanical components work together to operate and maintain complex systems. The program emphasizes safety, problem-solving, technical skills, and workplace readiness while preparing students for further education, apprenticeships, and entry-level technical careers.
This program is located on the Mohawk Valley Community College Rome campus. Transportation is available.
