Gracie Fleming completed the two-year Livestock Management and Agriculture program at MOBOCES during high school. A Madison graduate, she completed an internship at Champion Farms in Clinton, an opportunity she turned into a job after graduating.

At Champion Farms, Gracie takes care of the calves, ensuring they are healthy and have food, water and fresh straw. She hopes to obtain a commercial driver’s license to expand her career options.

She said the Livestock Management class prepared her well for her current responsibilities.

“I gained a deeper understanding of animal illnesses, signs of sickness, treatments, and how to properly administer injections,” she said. “I am forever thankful for that preparation.”
