Community Members Join Open House Event
Nearly 700 people stopped by the Fall Open House on October 17, taking an opportunity to see firsthand the unique classroom spaces and career-focused curriculum options available to high school students and adult learners in the region.
Visitors included both current and prospective students and their families, as well as community members and representatives from area school districts. CTE staff and students discussed different program options, showed class projects and led demonstrations of the hands-on learning skills they use daily.
The event also included a college and career fair, with representatives from colleges, trade schools, the military, and local agencies sharing information on community resources and postsecondary pathways. The BOCES Consortium of Continuing Education set up stations to discuss their health care, trades, literacy, community and other classes.
Thanks to everyone who joined us!
And a special thank you to the nine seniors who served as Event Ambassadors, greeting visitors at the door, directing them around the building and sharing their experiences in CTE.
