Duties:  Responsibilities include:

1. Serve as a role model for students in the clinical setting
2. Complete and monitor forms related to student PN clinical
3. Complete any required training provided by the facility
4. Orient students to the clinical facility staff and unit
5. Assign patient care tasks according to students’ capabilities and clinical rotation objectives.
6. Be present on the clinical unit while students are engaged in patient care
7. Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences for students.
8. Report accurate student attendance, student evaluation, and student feedback
9. Report relevant information to the Health Occupations Coordinator
10. Monitor health documentation
11. Maintain current CPR-AED certification.
12. Ensure compliance with New York State RN licensure requirements
13. Communicate schedule changes with the clinical facility.
14. Maintain consistency and fairness when evaluating and guiding students
15. Ensure students’ activities are within the LPN scope of practice
16. Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:   Bachelor's Degree or higher Registered Nurse (RN) with recent medical/surgical and extended care experience, including medication administration. Teaching experience, customer service experience, effective verbal communication, and public relations skills a plus. Microsoft Office proficiency preferred. Pre-employment background check and drug test may be required.

Location of Position:  BOCES Consortium of Continuing Education Verona and/or Utica, New York

Term of Employment:  Part-time, Per Diem

Salary:  Contingent upon education and experience
