Graduations 2021

Congratulations, Class of 2021!

Nearly 450 high school seniors walked across the stage this month at MOBOCES, earning completion certificates, diplomas, awards and honors to celebrate their graduations.

Two programs held in-person ceremonies this year – the Tri Academy and Community Based Occupational Education (CBOE). Both ceremonies were socially-distanced events that allowed families, graduates and staff to recognize students leaving their programs after a difficult and unusual year marked by a global pandemic. Those ceremonies were livestreamed out to underclassmen so the entire program could participate remotely.

“This year has taught us a lot – that life can shift without notice. You’ve met this challenge of the pandemic and your studies head on,” District Superintendent Scott Budelmann said. “It’s that spirit of resilience that is perhaps most admirable about the students of this organization and the staff of this organization and the families of this Madison-Oneida region.”

Career and Technical Education students received their completion certificates in small individual class recognition ceremonies. Those ceremonies were recorded and shared on a website, along with speeches, photos and class lists, to provide families with an opportunity to participate in the ceremony virtually.
