Fine Print: Things you should know

ATTENDANCE:  Students who are funded by state or federal programs are required to attend classes regularly and must attend 75% of the scheduled dates (unless otherwise specified in a specific program handbook) in order to receive a certificate of successful completion. All students will receive certificates of successful completion based on attendance. The instructor may assign make-up work if needed. Attendance policies vary with State Licensing Programs.

CANCELED POSTPONED, COMBINED CLASSES: All classes advertised in our publications are dependent upon sufficient enrollments.  While we make every effort to run all classes, when minimum enrollments are not reached, cancellation may occur. We will notify you at this time if your class is canceled and work with you to find another date or similar offering.  Your tuition can be applied to another class or refunded in full.

CERTIFICATES: Certificates of Successful Completion are awarded to students who attend 75% of their regularly scheduled class dates. Some restrictions may apply. Please ask for registration.

CLASS INFORMATION: Any information you need about your class is available by calling 1-888-593-6238, and/or 793-8696. Call if you need information on where to go, where to park, in which room your class will be held or who your instructor will be.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL: If it is necessary for you to withdraw from a class, please notify us in writing. Written notification must include student name, address, telephone number, and location of the course and start date of the course. Notifications of withdrawals can be sent to:

A receipt will not be mailed unless requested.  *Note: Course confirmation notices are sent by email.

EMPLOYMENT: Although many of our programs and courses may open doors to employment opportunities, successful completion does not guarantee employment.

GRADING: Upon request, students may receive a pass/fail grade from the instructor at the end of the course. Students who require more than a pass/fail grade are responsible for making necessary arrangements with the instructor on the first day of class. If there are any other grading requirements as mandated by the NYS Education Department, those will be described in literature passed out at the first class meeting. Student progress reports for funding agencies are provided mid-way through the course and at the end of the course.
