Elementary Intense Management Needs

(Grades K - 6)

Elementary Students in this program show severe behavioral difficulties and/or intense instructional needs. Counseling services are provided within the program. Close contact with parents, school districts, and community agencies is maintained to encourage the home-school connection. Staff is trained in crisis intervention strategies to support student's needs. Opportunities for regular education experiences are available. A variety of related services are provided as indicated on the IEP (Individualized Education Program). The staffing ratio 8:1:1 with additional support personnel as indicated on the IEP. These programs are currently located at John D. George Elementary School and on the Madison-Oneida BOCES campus in Verona.
